Each MirTrans-Express coach has sufficient space for luggage. We want your trip to be as pleasant and safe as possible, so please read the following information carefully.
In general, the ticket includes free transport of:
- one piece of hand luggage (max. 42 x 30 x 18 cm, up to 7 kg);
- two standard suitcases (max. 80 x 50 x 30 cm, with small variations allowed as long as the total sum of all sides does not exceed 160 cm, up to 20 kg per suitcase).
For safety reasons, hand luggage must be stored in the overhead compartments, so that emergency exits remain clear.
To avoid any confusion, please label all your luggage with your name and address.
Our friendly drivers will assist you in loading your luggage into the baggage compartments.
Additional Baggage
Additional luggage must not exceed the size and weight of standard baggage.
A fee applies for this service, which is paid directly to the driver after booking through the customer service office.
In general, we cannot guarantee available space for more than two pieces of luggage per passenger.
Prohibited Items
Carrying certain items in hand luggage or checked baggage is prohibited between the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
When leaving the Republic of Moldova, it is strictly forbidden to transport more than 2 packs of cigarettes, 4 liters of wine, and 1 liter of spirits per person.
It is also forbidden to transport food products such as eggs, cheese, and meat.
Please note that any violation of interstate regulations will result in the loss of the right to travel, without a ticket refund.
When entering the Republic of Moldova, textiles or other goods in large quantities are considered commercial cargo and are subject to customs clearance.
Failure to declare or concealment of such goods will result in confiscation and a fine.
In both cases, the passenger loses the right to travel without refund of the ticket price.
Strollers / Wheelchairs / Mobility Equipment
Strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility aids are transported free of charge on our coaches.
Wheelchairs and mobility equipment must be registered by phone no later than 24 hours before departure.
Strollers are considered oversized luggage and must be registered by phone no later than 36 hours before departure.
Please note: for safety reasons, wheelchairs can only be transported if they are foldable and not electrically powered.
Musical Instruments
Musical instruments that do not exceed the dimensions and weight of hand luggage (42 x 30 x 18 cm, up to 7 kg) may be taken on board free of charge in the passenger cabin instead of regular hand luggage.
However, in the passenger compartment, you may store either hand luggage or a musical instrument.
Instruments that exceed these dimensions (42 x 30 x 18 cm, up to 7 kg) are considered special baggage and must be transported in the coach’s luggage compartment in a suitable transport case.
We recommend using a hard case to prevent damage to the instrument.
Such instruments must be registered no later than 48 hours before departure by contacting our customer service team by phone.
Musical instruments and cases of excessively large size are excluded from transport.
